Overview:
Trip to Ladakh will take you across the Himalayas and exposure to new world where people live in harmony with Nature. Hard to believe but yes, people in this region still enjoy their life with internet connection.
Two -three days are required to acclimatize and visit the monasteries in and around of Leh and then set off for trek through the small villages.
During this trek, you will enjoy the natural beauty of Himalaya and magnificent landscapes, rivers and interactions with Local.

Arrival Delhi
At arrival at Delhi airport, you will be received by our representative. Transfer to hotel.
Depending on the time, enjoy free time to discover Old Delhi and its bustling streets at your leisure. You can also visit Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India or the Red Fort, a historical site located in the heart of the city.

Delhi – Leh Flight
Early in the morning you take your flight to Leh. You fly over the great Himalayan barrier and the snowy peaks of the Zanskar massif, before landing in Leh, the multi-ethnic capital of Ladakh located at an altitude of 3500 m. A driver awaits you at the exit of the airport and takes you to your hotel.
Free day for rest: you are advised to relax in order to get acclimatized. You must avoid any physical exertion, and drink plenty of water.

Leh Sightseeing
This morning, you meet your local English-speaking guide who accompanies you during your trip to Ladakh. After a first briefing, let’s go to discover the most beautiful monasteries of the Indus Valley!
You start with the monastery of Shey, the former summer residence of the kings of Ladakh built on the side of a hill.
Then you go up the upper Indus valley a little further to reach the monastery of Hemis, one of the most affluent in the region. Built in 1605, it has nearly 500 monks and a unique collection of small paintings retracing the life of the great masters of Lamaism.
On the return to Leh, you visit the most photogenic monastery: that of Thiksey, a marvel of architecture and miniature of the Potala, it is dedicated to Maitreya, the Buddha of the future. It has very beautiful works: paintings, masks, thangkas.
Return to the hotel at the end of the afternoon.

Leh – Alchi Monastery – Lamayuru
You take the road today and descend the great Indus valley. This is an opportunity to appreciate the unique landscapes of the region, between gorges and desert plateaus.
Near Nimu, you can admire the confluence between the two major rivers of Ladakh: the Indus and the Zanskar, whose crystal clear waters mingle with the turbid waves of the Indus. Arriving in Alchi, you visit the monastery of Alchi, one of the oldest in Ladakh, whose mural frescoes are a jewel of Indo-Tibetan art, classified by UNESCO. The vehicle then takes you to Lamayuru, on a beautiful winding road through landscapes worthy of another planet. Lamayuru is a small village surrounded by the mountains of Zanskar. It was built around its 11th century monastery, perched on a rocky outcrop. Late afternoon free to stroll around the village.

Lamayuru – Prinki la pass(3700mm) – Wanla
It’s a very beautiful day of hiking in terms of landscapes. The color of the rocks changes according to the daylight and contrasts with the greenery of the village of Lamayuru. You climb to the Prinki La pass (3700 m). After a well-deserved rest, you begin your descent to Wanla (3200 m) where you sleep tonight. If you still have some energy, you can climb to the village monastery, from where you have a splendid view of the valley, especially at the end of the day.

Wanla – Skiu (3300m)
You reach the Indus Valley and then take the road towards Leh. But at the confluence you follow the Zanskar river to Chilling where you join the Markha valley.
Then it’s off to an easy day’s walk with time to stroll through the village of Chilling, which provides much of the copper handicrafts supplied to Leh Bazaar. Just above the village, you cross the newly constructed bridges over Zanskar before walking to the confluence of the Markha and Zanskar rivers. The small village of Skui (3,300 m) is 4 km higher in the Markha valley. Many chortens decorate the entrance to this beautiful village.

Skiu (3300m) – Ganda La Pass (4495m)
You leave the valley of Markha by a narrow canyon which debouches on the hamlet of Shingo located almost 4000 m of altitude. After a break you continue your day of walking to the base camp of the Ganda La pass (4495 m).

Ganda La pass (4985m) – Rumbak
Last beautiful day of the trek with the passage of the Ganda La pass (4985 m) from where the view is striking on the peaks of Ladakh and Zanskar. You also have a beautiful view of the mythical Stock Kangri. After savoring this magical moment, you begin the descent to Rumbak.

Rumbak – Spituk Monastry – Leh
After breakfast, descent through the Rumbak gorges to Zinchen (1 Hr) then drive to Spituk. After visiting Spituk Monastery, you continue your journey to Leh.

Today, you will be transferred to Leh airport to board flight to Delhi.
